Michael Palmer is the Manager, External Customer Relations for the SUNCORP Group. The Suncorp group encompasses some of the most well known brands in the financial services industry such as AAMI, GIO & Shannon’s. The group has approximately 9 Million customers.
The External Customer Relations team works with customers who have proceeded to an External Dispute Resolution scheme such as the AFCA, OAIC, AHRC etc. Michael is passionate about creating the best working environment for complaint handling professionals so they remain positive in a challenging workspace, and where they strive to rebuild trust with frustrated customers.
Michael holds a bachelor of laws (hons) and a bachelor arts (Criminology). Prior to joining Suncorp Michael worked at the financial ombudsman service and in the health industry. Michael has been a member of SOCAP for the past 4 and a half years since he joined Suncorp.
