Simon started his working life as a pre-school teacher and has moved through to positions in both the private and government sectors.
For more than 25 years he has worked in the not for profit sector undertaking various management roles with organisations such as the Multiple Sclerosis Society, Starlight Children’s Foundation and with Camp Quality.
During his time with Camp Quality he took the organisation from the verge of closure to become Australia’s most trusted children’s charity that now provides cancer support and information to more than 250,000 children each year.
Along the way Camp Quality won numerous awards including:
- Awarded Australia’s Most Trusted Children’s Charity 2012-16
Simon moved Camp Quality to adopt a unique organisational culture built around optimism, resilience and innovation through its own program called ORANGES. This measurable wellbeing program, based on the science and philosophies of positive psychology and neuroscience, has been the backbone of the organisation’s growth which has seen direct increases in revenue and service delivery whilst decreasing administration costs, sick leave and staff turnover.
Simon has now created Oranges as a social business venture and delivers it to businesses throughout Australia with profits going directly to Camp Quality.
